RES-LES FARMS
This is the site location for RES-LES FARMS, also the home
of Redemption Ranch (RR). We are
located in
We are a Christian family owned and operated horse facility
– Buddy, Stacy & Erin Smith. We work
as a team and collectively have over 70 years of experience with horses. We do all the work here ourselves, from
keeping up 150 acres, cleaning stalls, feeding, working the horses, etc. All three of us have a passion for horses,
farm life, and most importantly, God. So
needless to say, we enjoy our job! God
has blessed us with a beautiful place here and a wonderful facility to share
with others who enjoy horses. For fun,
we enjoy showing at Southern Stockhorse Shows (www.southernstockhorse.com). This shows the versatility of your horse as
the classes are comprised of ranch riding, ranch trail, conformation, working
cow horse, ranch cutting, roping, etc.
§ Lessons are offered for the young
or adult beginner rider or for the rider who wants to hone their skills to an
advanced level..
§ Our training program will carry
your horse from saddle broke all the way to “broke”. By “broke” we mean that your horse would
stop, back up, have vertical and lateral flexion. He would also move his shoulder, side pass,
and move his hind quarters through leg pressure. Go from walk, jog, trot – and lope off on the
correct lead. All this would depend on
how much time you want to invest in your horse.
§ We also take in a few boarded
horses. If you are interested in having
a place where you can work your show horse, or just trail ride, we have
everything you need.
§ We have a summer camp program for
children ages 8-12 years of age. This
camp consists of lots of chores so that he can build a strong work ethic. We put a lot of emphasis on safety and ground
handling which will build his self-confidence and respect for the horse and
others. And we work to instill correct
riding habits to build a good foundation for his riding skills and he will
learn on a horse that is properly trained to respond to cues. And important for us is a time of daily Bible
study and movie time to instill faith in God and good morals for him.
Our farm is also the home of Redemption Ranch, a ranch
ministry that we have begun to target at-risk children and youth and those with
special needs of all ages.
At this time our site is under construction, as I am
building it myself in my spare time.
